"Smack My Bitch Up" dos britânicos Prodigy (incluída no álbum The Fat of the Land , de 1997) foi considerada a canção mais controversa de sempre numa votação pública levada a cabo no Reino Unido pela PRS for Music, organização que defende direitos de autor.

Em segundo lugar ficaram os Sex Pistols com "God Save the Queen", mas entre os 10 mais votados ficaram também temas de Eminem, Rage Against the Machine, Ozzy Osbourne e Marilyn Manson.
